It is to Napoleon III that we owe the official recognition of Vernière sparkling mineral water, marketed in 1861. At that time it was known as the “fountain of health”. Recognized as being of public utility, Vernière has been bottled and marketed since 1984.
In the heart of the Haut Languedoc Regional Natural Park, the Vernière spring comes from a privileged green site benefiting from a dry and temperate climate. The Celts already came to recharge their batteries there; local legends speak of beneficial waters which healed.
