TTEOKBOKK 떡볶이 KOREA

Here is a recipe for Korean tteokbokki:

Ingredients :

200 g tteok (Korean rice cakes)
2 cups of water
150 g Chinese cabbage (or any other vegetable of your choice)
100g leeks
150 g of fish or seafood (optional)
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 eggs (optional)

Instructions :
Soak the rice cakes in hot water for about 30 minutes to soften them.
Meanwhile, cut the vegetables and fish into appropriately sized pieces.
In a saucepan, add water, soy sauce, gochujang, sugar, sesame oil and chopped garlic. Mix well and bring to a boil.
Add the vegetables and fish to the boiling sauce. Simmer for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Add the softened rice cakes to the pan and mix well with the sauce. Simmer until the rice cakes are tender and the sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.
If desired, cook the eggs in the sauce until they are to your liking.
Once everything is cooked, transfer the tteokbokki to a serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
