Vin chaud de Savoie Traditionnel

Traditional Savoie mulled wine

Ingredients
1 bottle of red wine
150 g of brown sugar
1 zest of a lemon
1 zest of an orange
1 stick of cinnamon
2 star anise
1 clove
1 small piece of ginger
1 pinch of grated nutmeg
Juice of 2 oranges

Preparation :

Grate the lemon and orange zest
Pour the wine into a saucepan and add the zest, sugar, spices and orange juice.
Bring to a boil without boiling
Turn off the heat and cover.
Leave to infuse for 30 minutes then reheat.
Strain and serve with a slice of orange.
