Polish Hamburger - Kluski na Parze, Klopsy, Mizeria

A delicious burger inspired by Poland, with authentic flavors:

  • Kluski na Parze - Polish steamed buns
  • Klopsy - Savory meatballs

  • Mizeria - Polish cucumber salad

Recipe: Kluski na Parze

  1. Mix half of the milk, flour, and yeast to make a starter. Let it rise.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and salt, then incorporate them into the starter. Gradually add more flour and knead until the dough no longer sticks to your hands.
  3. Add butter and beat again. If needed, add a little more flour.
  4. Let the dough rise, then roll it out and cut circles the size of a drinking glass.
  5. Let it rise again, then for cooking, fill a pot with water, cover it with a clean cloth, and tie the cloth around the pot with string. Boil the water and place the buns on the cloth. Cover with another pot and cook for 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Ground beef
  • Ground pork
  • Onion
  • Piece of bread
  • Warm milk
  • Garlic
  • Fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Butter and oil for cooking
  • Breadcrumbs

Preparation:

  1. Mix the meats, add the finely chopped onion. Soak the bread in milk, drain it, and chop it.
  2. Add the soaked bread to the meat mixture, along with the chopped garlic and parsley. Season with salt and pepper, then add the beaten egg.
  3. Shape into even-sized meatballs, flatten them slightly, and coat in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat some butter or oil in a pan and fry the meatballs for 5 minutes on each side.

Serve this Polish burger with a touch of Mizeria, a fresh and delicious cucumber salad.
