Chicken Wrap with Mexican Sauce

Ingredients

For the wraps :

  • Wheat or corn tortillas
  • 2 chicken breasts (cooked and sliced into strips)
  • Green salad (lettuce, arugula, spinach, etc.)
  • Tomatoes (diced)
  • Avocado (sliced)
  • Grated cheese (optional)

For the Mexican sauce :

  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise (vegan if preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons of hot sauce (adjust to your spice level)
  • 1 teaspoon of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mexican sauce :

    • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
    • Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
    • Set aside the sauce.
  2. Prepare the wraps :

    • Warm the tortillas following the package instructions to make them pliable.
    • Place a handful of green salad in the center of each tortilla.
    • Add a few strips of cooked chicken on top of the salad.
    • Add diced tomatoes and avocado slices over the chicken.
    • If desired, sprinkle some grated cheese over the filling.
  3. Assemble the wraps :

    • Generously drizzle the filling with the Mexican sauce.
    • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it tightly to form a wrap.
    • Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
  4. Serving and Enjoying :

    • Cut the wraps in half for easier eating or leave them whole.
    • Serve with lime wedges for an extra touch of freshness.
